Charles Barkley Slams ESPN

Watching the Oklahoma City Thunder get demolished by the Golden State Warriors Friday night (November 4th) was a true exercise in self anguish. With no eggs in either basket the highly anticipated matchup between Kevin Durant and his old team was perhaps the NBA let-down of the month.

After the game however; was an intirely different story. For those os uf whom stayed up until after midnight CST to watch TNT’s (Turner Network Television)) Inside The NBA postgame show we’re immediately rewarded with hilarious banter between cohosts/analysts Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley.

The hilarious verbal exchange started when with Ernie’s observation that Durant and Westbrook didn’t acknowledge one another during or after the game. This comment opened up a firestorm between Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley that peaked when Kenny said, “Why don’t you go to ESPN and (so) I cannot talk to you”? Charles replied, “They’re not gonna work me like a dog and not pay me”, “They’ll have me on ESPN 1,2,3 ESPN Noon, ESPNU, ESPN Radio and come up with that little punk-puny paycheck”

This seems to be the new mantra for ESPN; who’s parent company Disney [NYSE:DIS] seems to be running out of idea’s on improving the ESPN brand and has allowed much of the networks top talent to depart to competitive networks including CBS Sports and Fox Sports.
