Samsung’s new smart home hub is an all-in-one Wi-Fi router

Amazon, Google, Nest and Apple are the most coveted brands in the smart home business, but electronics giant Samsung refuses to be out-shined. While Samsung already sells the SmartThings hub which performs all the smart home tasks we’ve grown accustom to along with controlling Amazon and Google’s voice assistants; its latest release, the Samsung Connect Home, cutting edge.

The Samsung Connect Home boasts the industry’s first smart Wi-fi system that incorporates a smart devices hub, such as a cell phone or tablet. Samsung also claims the WiFi capabilities of Samsung Connect Home router find the optimal signal coverage for the entire home.


South Korean company also allows its customers to add the Samsung Connect Home to an existing SmartThings platform which allows the same app or voice command service such as Google or Amazon’s Alexa if voice assistants are integrated.

Samsung’s the Connect Home, will be available for pre-order at Best Buy on June 4th for $169.99 for a single unit or $379.99 for a pack of three units. Each unit covers a home up to 4500 square feet. The product will be available for in-store and online purchases July 16 at retailers everywhere.
