Trey Wingo is an ESPN staple and the senior host of the networks popular NFL Live and NFL Primetime sports news progams. Raised in Greenwich, Connecticut to privilge, Trey Wingo beneficiary of hard work and amazing timing. Publishing is in the Wingo family lineage; Trey’s father, Hal C. Wingo, Jr., was the founding editor of the weekly publication People magazine.

After high school Wingo attended Baylor University in Waco, TX, he graduated in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. In 1997, after a 6 year stint as a sports anchor on St. Louis’s NBC affiliate KSDK, Wingo took the job as co-host of ESPN’s new 24 hour news network ESPNEWS.

Wingo has also co-hosted ESPN’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in-studio coverage, including the Sweet 16 and the Final Four. Wingo also helped cover the Men’s U.S. Open golf tournament in-studio.
